Ingredients
Main ingredients
  • Kimchi 1 cups
  • Pork 200 g
  • Spring onion 1 pieces
Optional ingredients
  • Tofu 100 g
  • Onion 50 g
Sauces
  • Salted shrimp (Saeu-jeot ) 1 tsp
  • Minced garlic 1 tsp
  • Chili powder 1 tsp

Steps

  • 1.
    Add the sliced pork (pork belly or pork shoulder) to the boiling water.
  • 2.
    Stir in a teaspoon of salted shrimp and minced garlic.
  • 3.
    Cut the kimchi into bite-size pieces and reserve a few spoonfuls of juice.
  • 4.
    Add a teaspoon of chili powder and extra fish sauce if needed.
  • 5.
    Increase the heat and boil for 15 minutes.
  • 6.
    Add the sliced tofu and onions, spring onions, then boil for 5 minutes.
  • 7.
    Serve hot with steamed rice.

Notes

  • If you prefer, you can cut the pork into pieces with scissors once it is fully boiled and cooked.
  • Season with fish sauce or salt.
